Purpose
The detector monitors sub-explosive methane concentrations and gives audible, visual and vibration alarms when small leaks are found, long before a hazardous level is reached. It is designed for locating leaks — on pipes, joints, cookers and boilers — and detecting gas accumulation in enclosed spaces.

The upper range limit is 1 % by volume, while methane becomes explosive from 5 %.
